Chico Band Photography- Armed for Apocalypse II

I have officially decided that I totally DIG band photos. These have been so much fun to work on, I have hardly been able to stay away from my computer. I ended up with a small handful of winning photos, but these ones were on top. Mostly because I was able to add in their band logo... and GRUNGE the heck out of them. AND you all know how much I love to grunge photos.

Please everyone support your local band. They are playing tomorrow night at The Senator with The Used. And I believe they will be hitting it hard in Chico all summer long. If you see any of these guys around town, say hi, they are actually kinda cool. LOL.

AND of course go to their myspace page and listen to their newest song!! And show them some love.

Chico wedding Photography- Engagemnet Session- Thank you Julie and Jessie

I will be shooting this wonderful couples wedding in April. They are such a cute couple and very fun to work with. Jessie even brought his fire fighters jacket and helmets. I love this 1st image, it makes me think of the true love of women for her man who is leaving to fight the out-of-control wildfire.

Thank you Vinny for your assistance on this photo shoot.

And

Thank you Julie and Jessie for a wonderful engagement session. Here is the 1st image, with more to come soon;)

Chico Band Photography- Armed for Apocalypse I

I got the opportunity to take pictures of the band Armed For Apocalypse. They are in the process of recording an album and they are going to be hitting it hard in Chico, Ca. this summer. I think they kinda like my work, so I am hoping they will have me as their official photographer:)

Be sure and go to their myspace page and listen to their song. They are the heaviest band ever;)

Chico, Ca. Family Portrait Session- More Bartel Family

Once again, this shoot was a handful. But I did enjoy myself:)

I really liked this image, to me it is a perfect mom and son loving moment.

Lauren Just loved this umbrella, the best pictures of her were under it.

This image was a hard one to get because the kids just wanted to play on their tractor.

Photoshop Fun- Deer Creek

Today I went on a little adventure with a friend of mine. We drove up Hwy 32 and found ourselves a quiet resting place, for our "day-cation". This image was taken right after I almost fell off of a cliff. I wasn't going to take any HDR images on this adventure cause I new I wasn't going to want to process them. But since I almost died I decided I would take a picture that would be worth the pain on my leg:) I hope you all enjoy this image cause I got a bruise and 2inch long gouge on my leg for it;)

Oh and post processing was done in an HDR program and PhotoShop!

Chico, Ca. Family Portrait Photography- Bartel Family Tease

Hmmm, what to say about family photography. Well, little kiddies are sure one big ball of fire. This photo shoot was done at Caper Acres, in Chico Ca. Or as I like to call it the "humpty dumpty park". I was thinking the park would be a great idea so that we could play and take pictures. Well, in the end I did end up with some great pictures, it was ultimately a little bit of a headache. Here is my first image from this shoot. More to come soon....

Oh and this 1st image was taken outside of the park. They brought along this John Deer tractor. I think it was a perfect prop for a family shoot.

Chico Model Photography Session- Nick Harris

Some of you know that I have been very excited about this photo shoot. Nick Harris, is the drummer for the band Armed for Apocalypse. I have seen him out on the town many times, waiting to find the courage to ask him to model for me. Well, once I finally asked him, he agreed. Nick is an amazing person and he was so much fun to work with. And, well look at him, he has amazing features. Before I start to sound like a gushing school girl, here is the tease. I will have many, many more to come soon.

Oh and be sure and check out his bands myspace page.
Armed for apocalypse. The heaviest band ever!! If it isn't heavy it wouldn't Rock!

Chico Pet Portrait Session- Debbie, Chloe and Annie

Here are the rest from my last photo shoot. Like I said, I think my camera is becoming a fan of the puppies. I do enjoy these photo shoots. A little challenging especially when the puppies are so excited to be there. But the results are very fun.

Chico Pet Photography- A liking to pets

So, I have been finding myself shooting more and more pets. Mostly dogs, because they are so cute and lovable. And, well, their owners love them. Here is a tease from a shoot I did last Friday. Meet Chloe. She is six years old and such a sweetheart. Since I have been slacking on my teases... more to come soon;)
