It is hard to believe that it has been close to year and a half since Trisha & Jordan's Engagement Session. In that time, Trisha and I talked a lot about all of the wedding details and, because she is also a photographer, we had a chance to plan a lot of fun moments to capture.
The couple decided on the perfect wedding venue, one of my favorites, Forest House Lodge . For those who have not heard of this fantastic wedding venue, it is truly a unique gem in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Located in the small town of Foresthill, CA, Forest House Lodge stands out among other wedding venues. Their friendly staff works so hard to make the entire event go as smoothly as possible. The lodge is one of a kind and I am always in photographer's heaven. From the outside, the lodge is very unassuming, but inside holds many surprises.
"Surprise", it seems, was the unofficial theme of this wedding. Trisha surprised Jordan by texting him some fun bridal boudoir portraits during their "first look - no look" photos. His expression was so perfect, it made for a really fun moment for the newlyweds to cherish. Before going to the ceremony site, just after Trisha's dad saw her in her wedding dress for the first time, she surprised him with an engraved frame and photograph of them when she was a child. Jordan's surprise, I must admit, was a little bigger than Trisha's. As the guests made their way to the ceremony site, Trisha was surprised by a horse drawn carriage pulling up in front of the lodge. Jordan arranged this beautiful surprise, unbeknownst to anyone who didn't need to know, for Trisha and her father to arrive together at the ceremony site. It made for such a magical moment. And, after the ceremony, the newlyweds we able to spend time together with their daughter as they rode back to the lodge.
From the beginning of the day to the very end, the couple and their families created a truly beautiful love story. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
