This year for Easter I got to photograph a one of a kind Easter Brunch hosted by Tahoe Mountain Club for all their members. What made this event unique compared with other brunches was the theme: Alice in Wonderland. The decorations were so cute and there was all sorts of fun and games to be played around every corner, including a mad hatter workshop where the kids and families were able to decorate their own personal hats! Everyone had to be sure not to step on the mome raths when entering into the workshop. In the room next door was the Queen of Hearts garden with multiple creative carnival-style games, including royal court croquet where there were lawn flamingos on croquet mallets and an "off with her head" bean bag toss!
Of course, an Easter brunch wouldn't be a brunch without amazing food and family time. Each family had their own table and centerpieces with their names on them really making this a personal event. As guests arrived they were immediately greeted by the amazing coordinator, Kendra, and mimosas were served. There was a row of cards each displaying a different Alice in Wonderland character - whoever picked up the walrus would get oysters during brunch as a total surprise. Everything looked and smelled amazing and since we were basically treated like family, let me say, we got a plate and it was delicious!
To top off this amazing Easter event there was, of course, an Easter Bunny with her basket filled with jelly beans as well as your traditional egg hunt. 750 eggs were spread across the pavilion's back lawn and playground for all kids to hunt. Separated in age groups, the kids ran and gathered eggs filled with candy until all baskets and baggies were full of colorful eggs.
This was truly a one of a kind family event hosted by an amazing team of professional and talented people! Happy Easter everyone and I am excited to share this joyous day!
