Ashley & Drew's Classy Creative Session at Hotel Diamond in Chico, CA

Ashley really wanted to take additional photos of her fiance and her in their evening wedding attire. The session was perfectly scheduled on the same day she planned to do her trial hair run. She and her fiance, Drew, got all fancied up in their evening wedding attire. Drew was wearing a tux similar in style to the one he will be wearing on the day of the wedding. Ashley was wearing her "dancing dress," to be worn on the dance floor during the wedding reception - a trend that I love because it provides more variety in their wedding day photographs. She looked gorgeous in the Sue Wong dress and it was the perfect match for the fun creative session that we had planned.

Hotel Diamond was the perfect location for this couple's creative session. Romance was in the air the entire session and the two lovers looked amazing. I can not wait to capture their love on their wedding day. Here they are, my favorite images from the evening:

Denelle & Chris' Creative Session -Truckee, CA. Wedding Photography

After Denelle and Chris' wedding day we knew we were going to have a Creative Session. This post-wedding day romantic session was everything I could have wished. The weather was beautiful, the locations were fun, and the newlyweds were as cute as can be.

We decided we would start photographing at Rainbow Bridge, a historical landmark for the town of Truckee located along old hwy 40. Both Chris and Denelle grew up on Donner Lake so the bridge, which has an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding area, was the perfect location for the beginning of our day. After spending some time looking down on the lake we knew we wanted to get closer. Chris' parents' house has a beautiful dock with a bench at the end.

To end the session we knew we wanted to get some portraits with their dogs. Admiral and Ladybird were a big part of the engagement session, but they were not able to be at the wedding. We knew we wanted to get them into the creative session photos and I knew of the perfect spot. This tucked-away valley offers a wide open field with colorful aspen trees where the dogs can run off-leash and we were sure to not see anyone. This romantic location was the perfect place to end my weekend with this special couple.

Kim & Garin's Lake Tahoe Creative Session

After Kim and Garin's Wedding Day we knew we were going to take additional romantic images of the newlyweds in a Creative Session. We planned to photograph at multiple locations in the Tahoe area and knew we wanted to catch sunset so we started a little later in the afternoon. Although a mountain storm threatened rain all day, the lighting could not have been better. Luckily, it rained on us for only a little while but nothing could stop us from getting out there for some amazing images. Thanks so much to the newlyweds for setting aside time for this post wedding day photo shoot. The entire wedding weekend was an amazing success and I feel so privileged to have had the chance to document your love for each other.
