Jen and Travis' Wedding - May 19th, 2012 - Fairfield, CA. Rancho Solano Golf Course

Ever since Jen and Travis' engagement session last August, I had been looking forward to their wedding day. On May 19th, the couple celebrated their love in an absolutely beautiful ceremony at the Rancho Solano Golf Course in Fairfield, CA. After months and months of planning, Jen and Travis' wedding was nothing short of perfect: the colorful rose petals strewn down the ceremony aisles; the cute pink satin table cloths; the stunning floral arrangements and bouquets; the "groom fishing for a bride" cake topper; the "Love Floats" root beer float stand (super cute!); and so much more.

My team and I met with the bride at her hotel for the Getting Ready shots. We took advantage of this time by getting pictures of the wedding rings, the bridesmaid dresses and the wedding gown. Next, we made our way to the venue to meet up with the groom and take care of the groomsmen portraits. I got to ride in the limo with the girls on the way to the ceremony and we got shots of the girls under a group of beautiful willow trees.

The wedding ceremony was beautiful and touching, including the Giving of Roses to the mothers of the bride and groom. After the ceremony I captured as many family photos as I could think up including, my favorite, of the Bride with her two brothers acting as her body guards in the background. As soon as we were done with the family photos the venue provided us with golf carts for our romantic portrait session with only the bride and groom. It was nice because we were able to take our time to find a good spot under some (other) willow trees.

The reception was the perfect ending to a fabulously special day. The venue was elegantly decorated. The food was flavorful. The speeches were thoughtful, memorable and touching. The dance floor was well-lit with a great view. Truly a magical day that I couldn't have been more ecstatic to be a part of. Congratulations Jennifer and Travis Vanella! Here are some of my favorite images from your special day.

Liam Daniel Rozzano, born April 3rd, 2012

Introducing baby Liam Daniel Rozzano, born April 3rd, 2012. Both Mom and Dad are graduates of Pleasant Valley High School and Dad was a football player for the Vikings. We thought the football stadium would be the perfect location for future football star, Liam's, first family photo session. Liam was so good for the camera! I got a few smiles and bright eyed glances. Congratulations to Andrea and Austin on their beautiful baby boy. Here are some of my favorite images from our session:

Buffy & David's Chico CA Wedding - April 14th, 2012

Full-day weddings are so wonderful for many reasons. From the bride's hair and makeup session in the morning through the First Dance that starts off the reception party, I really get a chance to get to know the bride and groom. This couple, I absolutely adore. Buffy and David are so sweet and kind, their wedding day was fun-filled with many surprises.

We spent the day photographing at multiple locations in Chico. Starting with the ladies getting their hair and makeup done at the Oxford Suites, we then moved on to the men who were getting ready in a rustic shop out by some orchards along Hwy 99. The ceremony was held at the EV Free Church which was decorated beautifully and offered spectacular mood lighting. Located just a few minutes from Bidwell Mansion, we decided to head to the Chico landmark where we took the majority of bridal party images and the romantic images of the newlyweds.

After having a fun portrait session at Bidwell Mansion, it was time for the newlyweds to be introduced at their reception. The Arc Pavilion was the setting for the end-of-the-day festivities. The tables were adorned with amazing floral centerpieces and the smell of the delicious barrel smoked BBQ filled the air.

What really made this day fun for this wedding photographer was the total trust the couple had in my creative vision. When I needed help getting a shot the way I wanted it they did whatever it took to make it happen. They were very excited about pictures, scheduling enough time to take plenty of fun photos before the reception. Here are some favorite images from their wedding day. Congratulations to the newlyweds, Buffy and David. Thank you for having me and my team photograph your wedding day.
