Chico, Ca. Band Photography- Remember these guys!

Armed for Apocalypse, the band that I have grown to love photographing, recently got back from a tour of the U.S. They had the idea to take photos just as they were pulling back into Chico from their limited shower trip.

Just over a year ago they were looking like THIS

Chico Band Photography: Rewind

I got the privilege to photograph a local band, Rewind. Rewind is a group of 6 individuals who play cover songs from some of our all time favorite, Classic Rock and New Country titles. This band came to me in hopes for some fun and unique photos for their press release CD. I jumped right on this opportunity, I really enjoy shooting images of a group of people who are simply excited to get their photos taken. Sure enough, come Friday afternoon the band was more than ready to have their photos taken.

Chico Band Photography- Armed for Apocalypse III

yet again....
Ok, so these guys asked me to come back out to their studio to take some more promo pictures for them. And of course the only day of the week I can come out there and all four of them could be there it decided to rain. BUT we were not afraid of the rain. I wrapped my camera in a plastic baggy and made a little peep whole for the view finder and my display screen. Sure enough I got a few group shots that I really like. The rain added for an interesting effect and created some very easy lighting to work in:)

Same as before here is there myspace music page. They have a new song or two up. They are hitting Chico pretty hard right now, so if you feel up to a loud, metal concert keep your ears open for Armed for Apocalypse!!

Chico Band Photography- A for A @ Paradise Lost

I was supposed to have these images up days ago. I took these prolly about 2 weeks ago for the band Armed for Apocalypse. They were playing at a small venue called Paradise Lost. This place is mainly for the hard core rock fans. Small and Loud. But a lot of fun.

I shot these Images at 3200ISO. I know that there is noise. BUT, Baby, they are so amazing. My new camera can hold detail at 3200 ISO. How awesome is that!!!

Chico Band Photography- Armed for Apocalypse II

I have officially decided that I totally DIG band photos. These have been so much fun to work on, I have hardly been able to stay away from my computer. I ended up with a small handful of winning photos, but these ones were on top. Mostly because I was able to add in their band logo... and GRUNGE the heck out of them. AND you all know how much I love to grunge photos.

Please everyone support your local band. They are playing tomorrow night at The Senator with The Used. And I believe they will be hitting it hard in Chico all summer long. If you see any of these guys around town, say hi, they are actually kinda cool. LOL.

Chico Band Photography- Armed for Apocalypse I

I got the opportunity to take pictures of the band Armed For Apocalypse. They are in the process of recording an album and they are going to be hitting it hard in Chico, Ca. this summer. I think they kinda like my work, so I am hoping they will have me as their official photographer:)
